YOU ARE WELCOMED TO THE PALMANOVA
This research explores the complex dynamics of the pro-unification movement in Cyprus, highlighting the absence of a seemingly cohesive ethnic and religious identity among its members. It questions the possibility of achieving revolution without resorting to extremism and whether the middle ground can foster an uprising.
Amid Greek and Turkish ethno-nationalism, this research investigates whether Cypriot nationalism can serve as a potential middle ground and, if so, what form it might take.

The central objective of this study is to mediate the ethnoreligious struggle within Cyprus and to forge a unified national identity, envisioning a speculative performative revolution that could lead to the island's reunification. Within a nation marked by ethnic divisions and extremist tendencies, this research contemplates whether those “bastards"(Τουρκόσποοροι: sprouts of the Turk /Rum tohumu: sprout of the Greek) in the struggle can become catalysts for revolution and if revolution itself can manifest through peaceful means.
This research paper delves into the landscape of Cypriot identity politics, exploring the potential for reconciliation, unity, and transformation within a historically divided society. By dissecting the nuances of the pro-unification movement and the possibilities of a moderated revolution, this study seeks to shed light on the prospects for a peaceful and inclusive path toward the reunification of Cyprus. Through the creation of a cohesive and visually relevant Cypriot aesthetic, a peaceful revolution is underway, envisioning and actively pursuing a unified front towards a peaceful future.

THE GAME
In a dystopian and speculative future, a city stands as the last remaining enclave in the Middle East, positioned 150 years ahead, amid a world of chaos and collapse—an oasis of hope and peace.

Welcome to Palmanova, the city that has forgotten its own name, where the walls have ears, and the only solution is a silent revolution. Palmanova is a panopticon-city built by overseas entities, with all power centralized in its core. After a series of predictable and unfortunate events, the city is now divided by a buffer zone—a green line drawn by foreign administrators to prevent and protect the two, hatred-filled and primitive communities from annihilating each other. Within this buffer zone lies the Green Castle, where agents of change collaborate to sustain the status quo and prevent the city from collapsing entirely.

As the players enter the space, they have the choice of walking in two directions—one leading to Gate Red and the other to Gate Blue. The players are given passports, becoming the first citizens of Palmanova, a city divided. In this city, an unfortunate game of geopolitics is being played, where everyone is a winner until they are not...

Can you uphold the status quo? Who is truly making decisions for the citizens of the Palmanova? What lies beyond the line of separation? Who are the Green Agents? Are you a player or simply being played? Are we just pawns until the end? —citizens seeking power? Agents seeking pawns? Between Red and Blue, Bastards and Purebreds; who are you?
